BrainBit attended the 2026 Suisun Neuroscience Summit, held October 7–11 at the Solano Yacht Club in Suisun City, California. Organized by EEG Strategies, the event brought together professionals working in neuroscience, EEG, quantitative EEG (qEEG), neurofeedback, and related technologies.

This year's conference, themed “The Gifts of Neurodiversity,” explored approaches to understanding neurodivergent brains, with discussions spanning brain activity measurement, neurofeedback, brain–heart coherence, and emerging research methods.

Exploring EEG Research and Emerging Neurotechnology

The summit provided a forum for researchers, practitioners, and technology companies to exchange perspectives on EEG-based measurement, brain function, and the interpretation of physiological data.

Among the topics covered were quantitative EEG analysis, autonomic regulation, heart rate variability (HRV), and the importance of reliable data acquisition in neuroscience research.

A recurring consideration across these fields is the quality of the recorded signals. Accurate measurement, careful artifact handling, and transparent analysis methods are essential when interpreting changes in brain activity.

Divergence Neuro Presents EEG Research at the Summit

One of BrainBit's technology partners, Divergence Neuro, contributed to the conference program with a presentation exploring brain–heart coherence and the central autonomic network.

The presentation examined EEG and ECG measurements in exploratory research involving ketamine-associated changes in brain activity. The methodology included multi-channel EEG recording, signal processing, and analysis of brainwave characteristics such as alpha activity, peak alpha frequency, and connectivity patterns.

The presentation also highlighted the importance of data integrity, including impedance monitoring, signal quality, and artifact rejection.

BrainBit DragonEEG technology was referenced in the presentation's EEG acquisition and data-quality workflow, demonstrating its use within a broader research and analysis environment.

The findings discussed were preliminary and hypothesis-generating, highlighting the importance of continued investigation and careful interpretation of small-sample research.

Staying Connected to the Neuroscience Community

Events such as the Suisun Neuroscience Summit provide opportunities to follow developments in EEG research, exchange technical knowledge, and understand the evolving requirements of neuroscience professionals.

For BrainBit, staying connected with the research and neurotechnology community is an important part of supporting EEG hardware development and collaboration with software and technology partners.
